Clutch Adjustment? Bad Parts?

I recently replaced the 4.0L in my 99 Ranger (with a 4.0L from another 99 Ranger coincidentally), and although my clutch had been acting fine, I figured now was the best time to replace it since...

Re: 94 ranger 5.0 swap RWD

Look again at that link I posted above. It covers your year and discusses 2WD just as much as it discusses 4WD. I'll post the link in segments below so that you can piece it back together in case...

Re: Excessive vacuum at oil filler cap

I listed the first things that popped into my head that COULD be causing your problem. I imagine that with that much vacuum you are also experiencing driveability issues as well? First thing I...

Re: 2002 Mazda B4000 EGR Tube disconnected from Exhaust Manifold - Help

It's possible to replace the manifolds in the truck. Only difficulty is when the bolts break and they have to use the torch to heat up the manifold to get them out... It would certainly be easier if...

Re: 99 ranger 4 liter v6 215,000 miles

No, I'd start with the one that the code identified. Bank 2 Sensor 1 was it? And my truck only has 3 O2 sensors, 1 on each downpipe just down from the manifolds, and then 1 after the cat.

Re: 99 ranger 4 liter v6 215,000 miles

Nah, not junk at all! Replace that O2 sensor and check for vacuum leaks around the intake manifold and it'll be fine!

Re: 2002 Mazda B4000 EGR Tube disconnected from Exhaust Manifold - Help

Sounds like they are the perfect shop for that kind of work then. Worth every penny they charge! I've never personally had issues with exhaust manifolds other than getting them off. If they can...

Re: 2002 Mazda B4000 EGR Tube disconnected from Exhaust Manifold - Help

I would do anything to avoid having to replace that exhaust manifold, but I also don't think that you'll ever get a new EGR tube into your old manifold either. Maybe just have someone take a new EGR...

Re: Can't find brakes for 98 ranger xl

Not sure how you've been looking on RockAuto, but I have replaced damn near everything on my 99 already, so I jumped on RockAuto's website and looked up your truck. How positive are you that your...

Re: (NJ) 2000 Ford ranger part out

I know this post is old as dirt, but ya never know sometimes. Any chance you've got that 4.0L still?

Re: 2000 Ranger project kickoff - Airbags - ABS Light

Welcome! I had the same issue with the speedo on my 99, and the sensor in the rear diff fixed it right up. Also, ALL of the bulbs that back lit my dash were burnt out, like 6 or 7 of them. I spent...

285/75R16 DOES FIT on STOCK!

I've been running 33x10.5x15 on my stock 15x7 Ranger wheels for about 15k miles with no issues. Jeep guys swear by a narrower wheel to help keep the bead from popping while offloading, so I figured...

Re: Supercharging a 4.0L V6

I think I would follow what Freiberger and Finnegan did with the Rotsun on Roadkill (Motortrend TV) and just turbocharge it. Grab a turbo from nearly anywhere, convert it over to a blow-through carb...

Re: Lets see your Ranger loaded up!

What's your wheel/tire combo? 33x12.5's? Any rubbing issues? Do you have spacers behind them? Looks freaking sweet!

Re: Steering Wheel vibration HELP!!!!!!

I'm pretty sure that's what may have just happened to my truck as well. I was at the tire shop going from 245/75/15's to 33x10.5x15's, and after the shop put the fronts on I turned the wheel from...
