Re: LS axle swap

I assume that'd be the bearing with 2.531" O.D.; 1.620" I.D. instead of 2.250" O.D.; 1.400" I.D?

LS axle swap

My 2004 4x4 has an open 4.10 8.8 rear diff for some stupid reason (axle code 87). My local junkyard has a 220K 2003 Level II with an R7 (4.10, 8.8, LS). That should theoretically be plug and play...

Re: Slow synchronizer?

Yeah, I did. I s'pose I could do it again. It doesn't seem like it needs it, but I don't know what else to do, so worth a shot. Bleeding the master cylinder shouldn't be necessary, right?

Re: Slow synchronizer?

It's got about 115k in it. I just replaced the clutch, pressure plate, pilot bearing, and slave cylinder about 1000 miles ago and the transmission fluid is in proper order.

Slow synchronizer?

So I've been having this weird problem with the manual transmission in my 2004 Ranger. That's the J code one; the M50D-R1HD. I'm not sure what it is and the internet hasn't been helpful.
What is...

Re: Tyler's 2007 Hooptie

That's not too bad, actually. I'm not sure about what Howard said, though. Looks kinda cool with the white letters out. Definitely a different look.

Re: Talon19 Low Budget 2004 Build

I'm gonna put some decals on the rocker panels where 2006-2008 Level II's have their badge. Just throwing some ideas around. What do y'all think? Any suggestions? I'm leaning towards Renegade in the...

Re: Talon19 Low Budget 2004 Build

Re: Talon19 Low Budget 2004 Build

So, I started on my clutch last night. I'm able to use my buddy's shop after hours, which is nice. Everything was going well until I got to the front driveshaft. It came off of the transfer case...

Re: Talon19 Low Budget 2004 Build

Thanks Tyler! The lift and front valence definitely did the trick. I've been keeping my eye on the local junkyard for an 06+ to come in that I can cannibalize. I'd like to get an STX grille for it in...

Re: FRF Watercooler / BS Thread 2016 (V2.0)

From the Ranger AMA: "It will be a facelifted T6... It is about the same size as the 10th Generation F-150."

*sigh* oh well.

Re: How many miles do you have on your Ranger?

112,190 miles. 2004 XLT 4x4 4.0L 2-door Extended Cab, manual everything. Will have bought it a year ago on the 27th. Had 103,654 on it when I got it.
