Default "TREMOR" Premium Audio Sys. Components

FORD RANGER “TREMOR” PREMIUM AUDIO SYSTEM COMPONENTS

Offered here is an original Ford factory-installed “Tremor” audio amplifier/subwoofer/cabinet, including factory wiring harness. Head unit is not included (removed by the vehicle’s original owner). This assembly was removed from my 2000 Ranger XLT. There are plenty of photos on Ford Ranger Forums and other websites showing the original factory installation of this unit, which was located on the floor behind the seats of extended cab Rangers.

Specifications can be seen in the website links provided here:

Check the specs in the indicated documents. The amp can be used as a 4-channel amp or bridged in 2-channel mode. Although this unit was built as a factory option for extended-cab Rangers, it can be utilized in any vehicle if the user/installer is knowledgeable about mobile audio equipment. The entire unit could be used intact, or the amp and/or subwoofer could be removed and used in other applications.

The Pioneer GM-X524 amplifier was refurbished and tested in April of 2020, including the installation of six new power MOSFET output components and several circuit resistors. The system has been fully tested and functions as it should. The only negative issue is quite minor: two RCA Jacks for one of the line-level inputs at head unit end are damaged and will need to be replaced by soldering new jacks onto the wire leads. Apart from that, everything is in pristine condition.

This system was an uncommon option and sounds wonderful, with powerful bass and much higher volume output than factory systems that did not have this “Tremor” option. Note that comments can be found on this forum where self-proclaimed electronic/audio engineer experts have stated that this system (or any other factory-supplied system) is a “POS.” Still others have commented that it sounds pretty darn good…and I tend to agree. Believe whatever you choose. It is, indeed, a great-sounding setup.

Price for this item in its entirety is $150, picked-up locally in the northwestern suburbs of Philadelphia, PA. Will travel to meet within a reasonable distance. Shipping will be considered, but given the size and weight of this item, shipping costs could be relatively high. Shipping quote will be provided to serious buyers upon request.

Thanks for your consideration.
