Default A Wiring Diagram....

I have been thinking about posting this up for quite some time now. I decided to post this up for information purposes and to help others out with some restoration projects that require new wiring which most people avoid. With wiring you either get it or you don't and it's just that simple.

This has been the standard for quite some time:

The only thing that I find wrong with this diagram is the fact that a steel body was used in the diagram. A steel body is not cheap by any means and it usually tends to rust out over time (even faster in the Michigan and northeastern part of the U.S.).

Here's where and whom I got the diagram from:

It's in the back of their catalog which you can get for free. You'll also find alot of tips and tricks to wire ANY vehicle from A to Z. Here's the link to their website for those whom are interested:

To use this same wiring diagram for your ride and you've used a fiberglass or carbon fiber body, you will need a grounding kit which this company carries.

That isn't a wiring diagram. And my trucks body is indeed steel.

Then what is it if it is not a wiring diagram? And you do know that I was talking about custom hotrods right?

It's showing how to ground things. It's not a real diagram at all. I knew this basic information when I was 14. If you're building a hot rod, you should know how a ground works. But why are you posting about hot rods on a ranger forum?

Thanks man. My intention was to post something up that could be used by those whom have never done any electrical work before and are either upgrading or replacing a bad electrical system for the first time wether it is in a ranger or another vehicle. My apologies on the incorrect post. Now what can I do to fix this thread and make it more helpful?
