Default Bypass RABS proportioning valve.

When I replaced all the brake lines on my 1994 I bypassed the proportioning valve. went straight from master cylinder to rear wheels. (ABS was never very useful anyway in my situation) Since then my brake lights are not working. Question is could bypassing the unit cause this or did I just loosen a wire somewhere and don't see it.
