| | Tires and Lift?
I will be needing new tires pretty soon but before making a purchase, wanted to kindly ask for recommendations/advice from the experts here on FRF.
My truck is a 2004 Edge 4x4 with 4.0 motor. It currently has P245/75R16 tires. The truck is a daily driver so I do not plan to go full scale "muddin." Would like a moderately priced tire that will carry me on the occasional trail ride or muddy south Florida back road.
I am also considering a 1" body lift. Not for off road purposes but, to be perfectly honest, to improve the truck's look. Would a 1" lift put unnecessary wear on the drivetrain or affect the tires in any way?
Will really appreciate any help you can give.

Check into General Grabber ATs. Like a BFG but better priced. 1" BL, would be custom. Would not effect drive train except with putting larger tires on which will but more strain, but nothing real bad.

1" body lift has to be custom made. only one you can buy is a 3" body lift which looks really nice on rangers. BFG A/T or BFG KM2 tirse but there a little pricey. You get what you pay for tho

Guess I had been misinformed about the 1' lift. Just so I fully understand, a 3" lift will not affect the drivetrain, etc.? And, if the truck is lifted, the size tires I mentioned previously will look alright? Not small under the lift?

If you go with a 3" body lift it will not affect your drivetrain. There are a number of threads with helpful tips for installing and a ton of these guys have body lifts on their trucks.
