So a guy is selling a pretty much brand new set of 37 12.50 16.50 Goodyear wrangler mt military oz tires for 400 bucks witch seems like a good deal.

I know they are heavy and thick and the guy says they can be mounted on 1 piece wheels as long as they are no wider then 8 inches . Does this sound correct?

Yep 16.5 wheels. You should have got a dana 60 front and a 10.5 rear or there is this

As much as I would have loved to do that , it wasn't cheap nor was it really needed IMO . I think I'm okay with the 44 up front with a normal set of 37s I'm just concerned with weight of these

They only weight half more, but will last through hell and you won't have to get another set for 2-3 years

That's what i read on another forum .

But I'm also ready that 16.5 inch rims are unsafe ? Ever heard that?

16.5" rim without bead locks have been known to break the bead for no real reason. You can run them but I would not to to heavy of wheeling or run at to low of tire pressure.

Only at low pressure, but as you plan to daily drive it and wheel occasionally you won't have an issue. Just keep it above 30 psi

Well based off of countless thread readings and revues these are pretty good. Half the people who were giving opinions have probably never owned them so theyr opinion really dosnt count for much to me. I drove on the road daily and take her on some mild trails mostly rocks / sand / dirt / gravel . These should do well.

I'm mostly concerned with the tires lasting over time and these have a great ware rating . Now I'm going to order a set of those two piece rims in the link posted above
