Default front driver side brakes rubbing

So I drive to work this morning and when I brake I feel some type of rubbing, not a metal on metal but grinding none the less. Almost like there is something caught between them. Anyone have any suggestions.

Be sure to check right away to see if one of the short, thick caliper anchor plate bolts has backed out. This would allow the caliper to swing out and rub the inside of the wheel. The next step is for the other bolt to back out (!) or for the caliper to rub all the way through the wheel which, of course, releases all the air from the tire. Either way, a BAD scenario.

Unfortunately, this is all too common after a brake job. Correct torque on these bolts is 85 lb-ft.

The "blowout" below resulted from a lost caliper bolt.
