Default 4x4 front bearings

My front wheel bearings are needing to be repacked and i am not real sure on how i would go about getting to them a little help would be awesome. even pics on how to do it. i have done them before but only on 2wd rigs

Zack you need to make a signature that includes some info about your truck such as year, engine/ drive train ECT so we know what youre working with. If you have a 97 or older you repack the bearings like the 2wd bearings, its the lock washers on the 4x4 spindle thats different. If you have a 98 or newer 4x4 the bearings are non serviceable unit bearings.

You can't pack the bearing on a 4x4 ranger, you need to replace the wheel hub assembly

Thats not true of all of them. 97 and older have regular taper bearings and spindles that need greasing.

So for the bearings i would just pull the hub and they are right there?

Yes, once the wheel is off the lock out slides off revealing the spindle, nut and outer bearing. If I remember right there will be an outer nut, a locking washer and then another nut. Once those are off the rotor will slide off just like a 2wd one. Only real difference between the 4x4 and the 2wd is the locking nuts and the size of the bearings.
