Default Wrong Center Hub Space Problems?

I have a 93 ranger and someone gave me some rims off of a 99 ranger. The center hub on my ranger is 2 1/2" but the rims center hub space is 2 3/4". The rims fit on the truck but there is a little gap all the way around the center hub. Is this dangerous to run the truck like this or is it ok?

What you have now it "lug centric" instead of "hub centric". Until recently, almost all cars have been "lug centric". In short, you'll be fine, just be sure you evenly torque your lug nuts in the proper pattern to be sure it centers up properly.
