Default NOT Hub Centric solutions?

I've got an '08 ranger and I just put on American Racing wheels.
I'm now experiencing vibrations at 60mph.
I had them balanced and installed by this guy, I swapped everything over (tires, tpm's) and I thought there would be no problem.
He brought to my attention that unlike my stock wheels, these aftermarket wheels are not hubcentric. Long story short, this mechanic is a nice guy, but he seems clueless and doesn't offer a solution (side note: he let me drive away from his shop when he finished the work and the back wheels were loose, he didn't realize the lugs were too short)
I've been looking into Hub Centric rings, but it is the most frustrating research I have ever done.
People are telling me I'm fine with being "Lug Centric", others say I'm not.
What should I do?

Are you 100% sure that they are balanced perfectly? Are you using a Conical seat Lug nut? I'd start there, go to a different tire guy/shop and have them checked to see if they are balanced correctly.

i think its a balance issue i would take it to another shop
also how did he move the tpms over to the new rims? the stock bands are not reusable and did he put double sided tape on the back of the sensor cradles if not they will spin on the rim and cause the tire to come out of balance

I had some AR rims on my truck that werent hub centric and just tightened up pretty good on the lugs by Pep Boys (not a good idea) after a week or two the ride became pretty rough and eventually I broke a lug and the hub came out of the rim. Im trying to find the right rings too, but i dont think trusting the lug centric is a good idea.

first this for some people. I have 15x10 Eagle alloy with 33x13.50 tires, it rides like glass. so there goes your non hub centric OMG we are all gonna die.

you could have a few problems.
  • Improper balance (alot of lazy tire guys stop balancing at .25oz)
  • Balancer not calibrated so what you think is 0 is not or bent shaft
  • oblong wheel
  • defective tire not round
  • worn out front suspension parts
