32x10.5x17 on 17x8 Eagle Off-Road Alloys #140
I have a chance to buy a set of Pro-Comps on these wheels. I have not been able to find the brushed finish ones online in 5x4.5, but I have found the polished ones in 5x4.5, so I am hoping that the ones I am considering are indeed 5x4.5. Yeah - I know - technically I could use adapters...but I'd sooner not.
This is a 4x4 Sport, with a 2" altered torsion key lift at the front and 2" blocks at the rear.
The specs for the 17x8 Eagle Off-Road Alloys indicate an offset of 2mm, and backspacing of 4.517", and I am completeely confident they'll fit in the fender wells (arches) and clear the four calipers. However...I am less sure whether they'll rub the steering components @ full lock.
Ideally we like a backspacing of about 3.25" or 3.5", yes? And if my previous experience with 17" wheels is any indication, I am doomed. But I wanted to run it by a couple of you gents...who're more well-versed on these adventures.
Please.

I ran 32x11.50's on my 04 edge with cranked T-bars with out a problem but unless your truck is an 06 sport mine would sit about 2" higher than yours so you may have to trim the valance on the bumper a little

Thank you! If you were running 11.5's, you would've had 'em on 10" rims, yes? These are only 8", so I'm guessing it'll be alright(?)

Can we get some information on your truck? Signature maybe?
Help us, help you....
Clearance @ full lock will also depend on the tires you want to run...can we get that information?
On at least 2001+ (probably more), the factory wheels have a backspacing of 4.5" so you will have (essentially) the same depth inward.
The extra 1" in wheel width (factory 7" versus this 8") being on the 'outboard' side.
EDIT: Doh, I missed the tire size from the thread title....

From Logan's info you should be good to go. And the tires will work with that wheel. I ran 32x11.5s on 15x8s.

I'm running 33x12.5 on 15x8 wheels. You should be fine.

I dragged my feet for too long and they got sold. That's alright - it was a sweet opportunity...but it wouldn't have been nearly so sweet if it turned out they wouldn't fit!
< sigh >
Something else will come along.
Thank you very much for the feedback. At least I learned a little something!

In the end you will be happier with some 15" wheels. Tires are cheaper for that size compared to 16" and more than likely 17".

Re: 32x10.5x17 on 17x8 Eagle Off-Road Alloys #140
Indeed. Keeping to that advice I have sourced a set of 15x8 alloys. They're "chrome-plated", but the "chrome" is in terrible shape. That's alright though, because I'm gonna abrasive-blast 'em and powdercoat 'em flat black anyway.
