Remove passenger side bed bolts. loosen driver side bed bolts. lift passenger side bed while another person snakes the 'crank' out of there. That's about the only way. That or total bed removal/set on stacks of 2x4's. The reason is there's a recess in the bed floor for the crank thing.
Thanks for the info. After much searching, glad to find this solution (and forum). After buying a 55 Torx wrench and some WD-40, it was pretty easy. Now our son's Ranger has a spare tire
Glad we didn't have to deal with a spray in bedliner.
