How to clean/keep rim clean from brake dust?
Money is tight and I was being cheap so I bought the cheapest brake pads I could get from O'Reilly's and now I'm paying for it. there is break dust all over my rims so how do I keep them clean or keep the dust off of them?
Thanks for the help

Eagle One has a product called "Wheel Keep Clean" I am not sure how effective it is.

Way, way back when the world was black and white and 8 Track was new fangled....
Anyhow. J.C. Whitney sold these plastic discs that matched your hole pattern and had a hole for the axle. They were insanely cheap. They mounted behind your wheel and were advertised especially to keep your wheels clean.
I never tried them, but I would look there first.

I was thinking the same thing. Other ideas:
- clean your rims really good and then put some wax on them
- swap out the brake pads now and just forget the whole thing
I bought my last set of OEM pads here: http://www.bluespringsfordparts.com/
Price was great, didn't have any trouble. Easy-peesy.

Being cheap really doesn't have much to do with it. Different types of brake pads produce more dust than others.

I use ceramic pads and get very little dust

Yes, price don't really matter, some do leave dust, some don't, no real rhyme or reason behind it :\
another option, switch to drums all around, your rims will stay clean, but you truck won't stop very well!!

I rather have brake dust. I hate drum brakes.
