I found for me it was how worn the pads were and the type of pad I was running. When I switched over to ceramic pads I haven't had the problem.

If your wheels are turning black in one day you have a brake problem.

The compound of some brake pads are very soft, don`t last long and make a lot of dust.
Clean the wheels properly and coat with a body sealant, Wolfgang, Zaino etc or a dedicated wheel sealant like this one we have in the UK and is excellent, then you`ll find the wheels wash easy.

Next time you throw pads on, use ceramic brakes. They create almost no dust.

i bought shitty pads last time i did my brakes and 2-3 days after i wash my truck my front ones already are covered in dust, its just crappy pads.

what makes me curious is that my expo, wich has disc brakes all around, the back wheels are never as nearly as nasty as the fronts are. would that be because more power is put to the front rather to the back when stopping?
