Need Help with 92 ranger wheels (Rivets)
I was in the process of cleaning up the wheels on my Ranger (Stock one piece cast rims) and in the process of doing so, I was removing the gunk around the rivets on the wheel and one popped off!!!! huge amount of exfoliation corrosion underneath the head. Everyone of the heads came off. From what I can tell these are pressed in rivets just for looks, but they have had 17 years to get to this current state. Anyone have any idea how I could go about removing whats left and replacing all these eyesores? Im not sure where I could purchase new rivets if anyone could help with that as well..
Ok, got the rivets off the wheel, rubber mallet and a punch works pretty good. Does anyone have any idea where I could get replacement rivets? Last edited by W1D0MAK3R; 03-07-2010 at 10:49 PM. Reason: Progress
