Doesnt it depend on offset? You may need longer lugs.

Re: do i need new lug nuts
offset has nothing to do with what type of lug nuts you need
and Jeremy, my stock lugs are acorn, and were on alcoa stock wheels, which are also aluminum.
it depends on the wheel though, some are made for flat, some acorn, or some ball.
i believe (someone correct me if im wrong) that rangers are lug centric, which means they need the acorn style lug nuts.

Re: do i need new lug nuts
A lot depends on the thickness of the aluminum used for the mounting surfaces. Nearly all American vehicles are "LUGCENTRIC" whereas a lot of high priced foreign cars are "HUBCENTIC".
As long as the wheels lug holes are finished for the correct mounting procedure acorn could be fine but you might need an aluminum centric lug with a shaft to make up for the thickness of the mounting surface.
Check with the Tire Dealer that will be mounting your tires... He's the best source of information. Or Even the wheel manufacturers FAQ site.

Re: do i need new lug nuts
Might have different torque setting also. I would check on that to. Don't want to crush your new wheels.
