Default Pulled into college...

And lost break pressure. Fml!

I just got to my parking spot and when I pushed in the breaks... They were firm and then BAM!!!!, to the floor! I hear air coming from my front left tire. haven't been able to get a good look. What do you guys think it will run me for new from lines? ( as I don't have the funds.)

I've done rears before myself on my old ranget but I can't do breaks with snow on the ground in - degree weather!!! And the fronts I heard are a pain!!!! Help!?!?!? :'(

I'm hoping something came loose. But I don't have time to even look at it today. After college I have work till 9... I'd be happier than a nerd at comicon next to Wonder Woman if something just popped loose!

They are Brakes. Not breaks. It could be the hose and not the hard line. You need to look. I would use new parts. You can buy 3/16" lines with fittings and flares in them for $5 at all parts stores.
cant give a labor estimate until you look and tell us what you find.

I figured as much. And I've don't brakes before like I said so I have the flare tool and some line left. I just don't have a garage or a place to do it and its the middle of winter and it's been -5f all week. Not to mention the snow we've been getting here. Ill see what I can see tomorrow when I have time

knowing how they salt the roads up there i'd bet it's a hard line rusted through. it's good you've got the tools to replace it, if it was me i would patch the line like i did with my old car when it rusted through, which should save you some time bending an entire new line.

I had to put in a clutch in the snow, its not that bad. Seriously though, brakes just went but you can't look at it cause you gotta go to work? Are you driving the truck? If so you must really love your job more than life itself

Stop driving, get out, and look... If you had time to post this, you definitly had the time to look under your car and see if there's a puddle of fluid. I'm pretty sure any boss would understand that brakes are the most inportant part of the truck and your life if your driving it...

My brakes went when I got to college. I got a ride from my gf to work cause I can't drive the truck and my father is picking the truck up with a trailer after he gets out. And if I could afford to miss work I would...

basically find where the line burst, cut out the bad spot and splice in a new peice. you'll need a flare tool, line cutter and the little nuts that hold the line togeather. lemme go take a look at my old car and see if i can get my camara under there to grab a pic for ya.

----------

tried to grab you a pic bud but i couldin't get a good one, it's raining and the cars sitting in about 2" of water from the snow melting. if i could actually lay down next to it i could grab a pic but right now it's a no-go.

Lines fixed. My unle Donny has worked at ford his whole life so I brought it to his garage and in 2 days all lines replaced but 2 that look new. The bleeders were rusted shut so he got them out when I wasn't there by drilling them somehow and making notches. Will post pics when I can. It was too dark lastnight

good to hear he replaced all the lines, now you don't need to worry about 'em. with all the salt they use up there i bet there wasin't much left of the old lines.
