Advice on rims/tires size with lift

I recently bought an 06 Ford Ranger Sport (3.0L) & I'm looking into lifting it, as well as buying new rims & tires. It's my first truck so I don't want to go too big, but I want it to be one of those trucks you see going down the road & you're just like "damn..."

It's all white with the bolt style fender flares, baby Mickey Thompson's that really aren't MT's but they look like miniatures, & whatever tires Autoway put on it.

I was thinking about either doing white Rockstar rims (since they are the only brand I can find that makes nice white rims), or going black (I also wouldn't mind some advice on a brand for these). If I do black I'd like to black out the front & rear lights & get darker tint as well. I want to do 33-35 inch tires, no bigger no smaller by 10.5 inches wide, maybe 15-18 inch rims.

Any tips or opinions would be helpful

Hope you have some money saved up.lol. Ide go with black rims. Are you 2wd or 4wd?

well kinda sounds like you want a bro truck. throw a body lift on it. with prolly some 18s with 33s. i would go at least 8inch wide wheel and 12.5 wide tire.

If I were you I'd do a body lift or maybe a spindle lift (idk if your truck is compatible)... A body lift would be fine especially just to clear bigger tires... And 31's or 32's. Youd probably feel pretty sluggish with 32's especially though, because of your gears. Definitely don't go 35's. On stock gears your truck will hate you. And you'd have to replace more stuff... There's TONS of stuff on here. Build threads are good to look into to find possibilities. Check out 2004xlmiller's, justincredible's, or any other lifted truck build threads...
And rims wise... You can get off cheap by just running some black steelies... They look beefy and sick, and are cheap and good... But for nicer ones, I like Methods...

Well money isn't an issue so I'm willing to do what I have to for it to look amazing

But as far as body lifts, I've seen a lot around town that just look ridiculous! Is there a certain way to go about it without all of your ugly undercarriage showing? I just want to do the suspension because of that, & what exactly is a spindle kit? I found one for $600 online, but had no idea what it was.

Sadly it's 2wd. I planned on making whatever changes I needed to make it look good. I plan on keeping it for a long time & once the motor blows I'm gonna drop a 4 cyl. Cummins in it.

Spindle lift and ad a leaf spring should let you clear 33 10.5 thought they will bog you down quite a bit.
Personally I like the pro comp 152 street lock steel wheels thought there is some nice brushed or partially brushed aluminium wheels out there.

A spindle lift will keep you from seeing the undercarriage quite as much...

Oooh okay, so should I go with like 31's? I don't want them to look too skinny since I have the fender flares so I definitely want something wide.

Don't go bigger than 17" wheels.

We have basically the same truck... I have a 3" spindle lift and 32s.

My 32s are carry overs from when I just had a t-bar crank. IMHO, 33s would look better with a spindle lift.

Yeah I planned on at least 15 no bigger than 17, but I like how yours looks. I hate how at stock height the front is so much lower than the back. Would a leveling kit be sufficient or should I just go right for a lift?

Also, I was kind of leaning toward XD Rims cause I'm not really worried about price & they are nice looking. Has anyone had experience with them & could give me their input? I've seen them on a lot of trucks around & they look pretty sweet.

There's no such thing as a real leveling kit for our trucks. Your options are crank your torsion bars yourself (free!), or pay for torsion keys that give you the same result.

A torsion crank looks pretty sweet too. Sounds like you could afford a lift so I would say just go ahead and get the lift. Looking at probably around $500 total front and back with new parts.

ignore that.

only people that say that are people who havent done it, or people who have gone beyond levlling their truck, and have maxxed the bars out.

i have had my bars cranked for a few months now, only to level it. and it feels no rougher, and the little bit they are cranked wont wear anything out faster. its perfectly fine to do.
