No.

Those wheels have less backspacing because the number is 'smaller'.

Less Backspacing = Smaller the number = less wheel 'inboard'.

Ahhh I'm so confused. The Mickey Thompson's I posted, would those be tucked more or stick out more?

& Slick, I want to get one eventually. Is there a specific one for Rangers/years or just different types of Superchips?

Stock Wheels:
Backspacing = 4"
Width = 7"

Those Wheels:
Backspacing = 3.625"
Width = 8"

This means that the inside edge of the Mickey Thompson's would be about .375" outward from its current stock position (3.625" versus 4") - which means no suspension rubbing 'issues'. In addition, the full 1" of additional wheel width (8" versus 7") would also be fully on the 'outboard' side.

So talking strictly about wheel measurements - you’re looking at 1.375" further out from where you are now.

Thank you for explaining that lol I was getting frustrated trying to figure that out between different rims. So I think I'm doing the MT's 15x8, but how wide of a tire should I put on it if I'm doing 32's?

----------

Thank you Slick!

32's you will want to look for a 10-12" wide tire.

no idea what size it would be as for 16" wheels the sizing is on the 235/75r16 style. i dont know those lol.

all i know is on my 15x8's i have a 32x11.50

Well those MT's I posted are 15x8's. I currently have 235/75r15 BFG Long Trail's, they don't look bad & have a good amount of tread left but when I order the new rims I'm going to get new tires as well. I've heard BFG All Terrains are good I've also heard that the Nitto Terra's out-do them by a lot. Any thoughts on that?

I'm not going to be taking it in the mud or anything, if ANY off-road it'd be a grassy field or a little sand. I kinda wanted the tire loudness I hear on some trucks as they go by, but are there pro's/cons to having harder/softer tires?
