Firestone Destination AT
I put new 265/75-16 Firestone Destination AT's on my Ranger Tuesday...WOW...it's like a brand new truck. The old Dueler AT D693's that were on it were bald as can be, cupped, and rode like crap. Now it rides smooth as can be, and the grip in all of this snow on the ground today was awesome. I think they are going to be a happy compromise from the MT's that I was going to run. For a little off the pavement action, I think they are going to do fine.
Pics when it gets un-nasty outside...
Would like to get some 16" wheels and replace the factory units in the Spring...

Watch them closely I had a set that the tread separated from the belts. They where great for about 10,000 miles then started to shake upon acceleration. Keep the air pressure up and be safe.

i had a set and they were horrible i had the belt come through the tread on my front tires and the front end was in perfect shape then after i bough 2 more to replace the old ones that only had about......maybe 20,000 miles. i got new ones and one blew out in the first 5,000 miles and the other one lasted a good 65,000 miles. just be careful with them jus cause i didnt have good luck with them doesnt mean you wont just watch them all the time like when you get in the truck and when you stop. it sucks when you are at the beach and you are 7 hours away from home and your tire is sitting on the rim cause the blet came through the tire. i have had better luck with BFG A/Ts i coulda run over a box of nails and been fine with those tires

Now boys, I work for the largest Bridgestone-Firestone distribution group in North America...so you probably know my opinion already on their tires. LOL
We have no problems with Bridgestone-Firestone tires that we don't also have with Goodyear, Continental-General, Yokohama, Dunlop, Kelly, etc, etc, etc. Sure, a tire can be a "bad tire"...but so many factors can influence how a tire performs. You guys have already mentioned some of them, like air pressure, alignment, suspension...
BUT, let me say that even back during the old Firestone Wilderness AT and Ford Explorer recall mess a few years back that we sold TONS of that tire with no problems. I had them on a 1/2 ton Ford at the time and did not want to give them up. My opinion on that mess, as much as I love Ford, is that Ford was more at fault than Firestone. When you post a tire pressure spec on the door frame of an Explorer that is lower than the manufacturer recommends because you're vehicle rides like crap if you don't...air pressure lower than what the tire was designed around causes excess sidewall flex, heat build up (especially in the hotter Southern climates), and things like tread seperation. If you bend a paper-clip back and forth long enough, you'll notice that it gets a little hot and it breaks. Same principle at work.
IMO, I wouldn't worry about your Firestone AT's any differently than you would another tire - They all need to have an eye kept on them for issues that may come up through normal wear and driving...
Dang, I went all soap box there. Sorry.

Yeah, you should be alright at the 32psi on the door jamb...I think those 33x12.50's are 6-Ply with max inflation rated about 35psi from Firestone, but that's just off the top of my head so don't quote me! lol

In all the snow we have had here, I have only put it in 4WD a couple of times, and that was to play more than anything...in 2WD with nothing in the back, they rocked on down the road with no trouble as long as you paid attention. Very impressed thus far.

The price of attention must have gone up because my Firestone Destination A/T's suck in snow, wet, hell even dry. I had Sport Kings previously and they were awesome in the snow.
