Default Largest 16" Tires for 2002 4wd w/o lift

What are the largest tires I can put on my 2002 4wd? It doesn't have a lift. It has had the torsion bars adjusted to level the front end. I'm running 245/75/16's now of what I understand by conversion are 30.5 inch tall and 9.6 inch wide. Of what I read I can put on 285/75/16's (32.8 inch tall and 11.2 inch wide)......or do I have to stay with 265's? Anybody out there know?

Before 31" tires on 16" rims with maxed t-bars

Currently 31" tires on 16" rims maxed t-bars and 3" bodylift

Nice.... Did you do the body lift yourself?......If so, how difficult?

Do you think my idea of putting on 285's is feasible?

I had been pondering a body lift but after reading the instructions it looked more difficult than doing a suspension lift.

Body lift was easy had 4 other people helping me

We did it in 5 hours. Body lift is cheaper by about 900 dollars

You can get a performance accessory lift from summitracing.com for 180 something get the one made for the 1998-2000 ranger it will work on your truck I have it on my 2005

You got any pics of your truck or close ups of the tires?.....How do you like the Nitto's?.....I've seen those at "Discount Tire Direct" for a pretty good price.....I had been thinking of getting Goodyear Dura Tracs but the Nitto seems pretty hard to pass up for the price.
