16" FX4 to 15" Alcoa
I've got the ability to swap my Fx4s with 265-75-16 to a set of Alcoa's with 33-10.50-15s. I still am on stock suspension, not even a t bar crank.
So here is my ?, since I'm dropping 1" in diameter will I still need a BL or a tbar crank, or will they fit the stock suspension? Lastly, the Alcoa's are 15s right?

alcoas are 15s
the rest of your post i'm confused about what you are asking, but i know you can put a 33x10.5 on stock suspension, it will looked stuffed and will prob rub here and there, but its do-able

Ok after further research I see that 33-10.50-15s will fit stock sus. with a tbar crank.
That being said by dropping 1" in rim diameter I should have no problems running these rims and tires on my stock sus. set up that has 16" rims am I right?

changing from 16 to 15 inch wheel size will have no effect on your suspension, the only thing it could possibly affect would be if the wheels were too small to clear your front brake calipers, and you won't have any issue there, rangers have pretty much always been available with 15s on em

Thanks for your help. I know it won't have any effect on the suspension, what I'm asking is by dropping from a 16 inch diameter rim to a 15 inch diameter rim will the decrease of 1 inch in rim size be enough to compensate for the larger tires to fit the truck without having to do a body lift? In the tire size chart it says that a stock suspension XLT 4x4 will fit 33-10.50s with a tbar crank. Since I'm basically running a 31-10.50 without a crank, can I fit the 33s with a crank or do I need to BL too?

The Alcoas will be fine, they are ranger wheels plus I did the same thing but just a 31" tire, however if I were u, I would crank t bars running 33s or go to a 32, that is really stuffing them in there without a body lift!
Are u trading with mike (sonic04edge) bc if u are, I officially hate u, I've been wanting his polished Alcoas for ages, if u do, come trade for my brushed alcoas

Yep, I'm the lucky one getting his Alcoa's! I'm trying not to have to do the BL just yet, due to the fact that I'm going to have to get the lifetime alignment when the tires are done.
I'm thinking by dropping to 15s and doing a 1" tbar they should fit, but snuggly. That in theory would be the equivalent of me running approx. a 32" tire with a tbar crank. Am I on the right track here?

They will fit fine but I would sugest the t bar crank. Also just to help clear it up for you. the smaller rim size will not make a diff. with the the tires size. a 33" tire on a 15" rim is still gonna be 33" tall. The only diff. is the amount of sidewall the tire has. A 33" tire on the 15" rim will have a larger sidewall, than one on a 16" rim. Changing the rim diameter will not change how tall of a tire it is.

You know I have the tow hooks that off the original truck that those wheels came on, so its only fitting that they be together...lol

i would do a torsion bar crank on it for a little extra clearance, also the chevy drop shackles only cost like $40 and are a really easy way to lift the back 2 inches

Thanks man, that was one key thing I never gave any thought to. Just had it in my head that there was going to be a 1" difference from the get go.

How about just a 1" or so t bar crank to level out the truck, and to give a little more clearence for the front, lock to lock?
