Exclamation Tire size help!!

hello everyone, i have a 2008 2wd 2.3l 4cyl ranger and i am planning on getting a 3" body lift and maybe cranking the torsion bars a little. after this has been done, i want to know what size tires i can add to my ranger. i am going to get either all terrain tires or mud terrain tires because i am planning on doing some mild off-roading. i wanted to fit maybe 33" or a little smaller than that. please let me know ASAP.

and if there is any other info you can give me about a body/suspension lift that is less than $500 that would workout better for me please let me know!!

THANKS!!

based on what information you have, I dont think you have Torsion bars as 4x4s and 2wd Edge models only came torsion bars. Also, you said you have the 2.5? 2008s didnt have the 2.5, they had the 2.3 Duratec Im pretty sure. Also, Sport packages didnt come with 4 bangers, only the 3.0 or 4.0.

With all that being said, if all the above is correct, then you have coil springs and you will either need spacers or lift spindles for the lift (but you can still use the bodylift). As for tires, Im gonna say on a 2wd, I probably wouldnt go above 32" especially with the 4-cylinder engine.

here is a 2WD edge with spindle lift and 32s for reference:

ill can admit when I was wrong, they started doing wierd stuff in the later models. Earlier models, im about 100% sure you couldnt get a 4 cylinder in the edge models. It must have been the 06+ sport models (edge became sport) they started doing that
