Default Pondering insanity..

So im thinking about doing the unthinkable and ditching the murdered out dc-1's and going with a 15x10 cragar soft 8's with a 4 inch backspacing. any pics of a body lifted edge or 4x4 with 33's and soft 8's or d-windows?

So? How wide are your tires? Do you plan on running a wider tire?

My trucks on 15x10 w/ 4" bs on 12.50's......but they're 35's and the trucks double lifted. Would those pics work for you?

I've also got side by side comparo with mine against a 15x8 w/ 4" bs and 33x12.50's.

NOTE: Any picture showing my Driver's bedside, front of wheel well is FUKKKKED. lol. So results will be a little different on a perfect rig...mines flared outward from traildamage.

Left: 10" w/ 4" and 12.50. Right: 8" w/ approx 4" and 12.50. Both w/ flares.

Front tire: Left: 8" w/ 4" and 12.50. Right: 10" w/ 4" and 12.50. Both no flares.

Kind of a crappy comparison because I don't have flares....but....Left: 10" w/ 4" bs and 12.50. Right: 8" w/ 4" bs and 12.50

Rear Tire: 10" w/ 4" bs and 12.50 w/ flare.

Bottom line: for little to low rub with a 10" rim, you want a bigger backspace...like 4"-4.5". Anything less you risk throwing flares, tagging inner fender, etc. I trimmed my valence and fender flare on the front of the truck to better clear the tires when fully twawked out. If an 8" wheel has 4" backspace, the 10" with the same backspace will stick out of the fender 2 more inches.

lol i'm not going postal yet.. just thinking about the insanity of getting rid of the dc-1's for something wider, i feel like i need a little bit wider stance. i'd like to get a 15x10 set of dc-1's but the funds just arent there right now.
