Default 1996 Thinking of lift or Stay with Stock wheels?

hey guys whats up new guy here just bough a 96 Ranger xlt 4.0 2wd for a great price in perfect condition but has bad tires and their so small too. I have been doing my research on lifts and tires but need some idea on how much money will i really need to go trough with lifting it and buying some nice rims from experienced ranger guys. If some one has this generation ranger and would like to share some pics and information of their rangers with a lift size? and tire size? and price it would really help so i have a idea on what route I should take my ranger. I need some inspiration. Or should i just stay stock rims and save some money for a 2003 edge? What would you do?

save money for the 03 edge....

i've got a 96 2wd....i saw an improvement in height when i went from 14" wheels and 225/70s to 16" wheels with 245/70s

rides smoother...better highway mileage but i'd still rather have a lifted 4x4

i only gained 2 inches but it was noticeable

if you have 14"rims step up to 15's or 16's and if you want a cheap lift do a body lift and save your money for the edge. and welcome to frf.
here's mine with 235-75-15's and 1"body lift.
