New rims? Help me decide

Re: New rims? Help me decide
FR500s all the way man. The 18x9/18x10 combo looks soooo sick. And I would choose the chrome ones if I were you.

Re: New rims? Help me decide
Thanks for the advice so far. My main concern about getting the chrome saleens/fr500's is the up keep, I know they will look bad ass but eventually it seems all chrome rims start pitting and flaking but should this reallly be a concern if I take them off for the winter and clean/polish them regularly? I usually wash my truck every two weeks or so an wax it maybe once a month

thats because you need to keep your current wheels and tires and put them on in the winter and not leave the chrome year round. The salt during the winter is what pits them.

Re: New rims? Help me decide
^ I know that, I plan on using my current rims for the winter. I might have worded that wrong before. I plan on taking them off for the winter but if as long as do regular polishing/cleaning in the summer I shouldnt have any probelms right? Also does anyone have any experiance with chrome and salt water? I live very close to the beach so that's another concern

Re: New rims? Help me decide
If you really want you could plastidip them in the winter to protect them from the salt then peel it off afterwards. This way you can have the chrome and black them out when ever you want and still be able to go back to chrome.
