Default brakes

I am about to change my brakes...I am going to change the rotors, pads, drums with the spring kit..and bleed the brake lines..will this stop my brakes from staying pressed on? Or is there another problem as well.. Sometimes after pressing the brakes they don't release any suggestions?

Are you going to replace the calipers too?

Since your replacing the brake hardware that should solve your problem... I had the same problem few years ago.

Before you do anything you should check out what is causing the brakes to stick on at times. Calipers, Rear wheel cylinders or less likely but possibly master cylinder or booster.

I had the same problem once. It was a bad caliper. Lucky I was only around the corner from my house. The right front wheel started smoking and I pulled over and let it cool down for about 30 minutes ..then drove home about 10 MPH. Replaced the caliper, rotor and pads and didnt have anymore problems...

Does the pedal go all the way to the floor and stay there?..if it does...that is probably the master clynder or air in the lines.

If the brakes dont release..then it could be a stuck caliper like mine was..

Mine are doing the same thing so I limit my driving of the truck for now. For some reason the rear breaks stick after using the E-Brake but if I don't use that they are fine. I plan on replacing alot of this once it warms up a bit.

You can always cut the break line and pinch it off!! Haha kinda like my RA here at college did....he's done it to three wheels...now he's only running with one wheel breaking, I know to stay away from him!

They only stock if I Getty on the brakes hard enough...u was thinking master cylinder..but I bed to change brakes anyway so u thought I would change everything except the calipers and matter cylinder to see if that fixed it.
