Default any one know where I can get some spacers

my girl has a 97 mustang and the back tires are so deep it looks retarded

im talking like she needs a 2" spacer... any idea?

you can get spacers made, i don;t recall the company that makes them, i have done a few sets but don;t like to due to the risk of misuse. they usually are $100 for 4.
they used to run full page adds in minitruckin

i went on those sites and i cant find anything for less than 200 for 4. i need like a 1.5"-2" spacer

should be an 8.8 rear end right? so thats 5 on 5.5 bolt spacing. shouldnt be hard to find in a offroad mag, in the back where the adverts are....try 4wheelparts.com

Ebay. Several sellers have them for $60~70 per pair shipped.

Search for "5x4.5 Mustang adapters".

Be sure to torque to spec and recheck regularly.

Adapters have the reputation of loosening over time. That may be real or it may be due to undertorquing by the installer. I would check them after a few miles and then regularly to see if they are loosening with use.

Find the factory torque specification for the Mustang lug nuts in a shop manual or owners manual. For comparison, the late model Ranger spec is 100 lb-ft. The Mustang is probably similar.

What Bob says is spot on, but to dumb down the answer to your question a bit more, essentially torqueing to spec refers to how tight (aka torque) you apply to ensure the lug nuts are secure.
