I have a 2004 FX4 Level II and I can run a 33x10.5x15 no problem. I chose to stick with a 32x11.50x15 though. My stock tires were 31x10.5x15.

Here is a truck with 33" and a 3" body lift

Only issue he has is a little rubbing when flexing or offroading

How much did those 285/75R16 tires bog the truck down? I'd like to go with that size but I'm worried how it will affect performance. I've got a 2004 FX4 with the 4.10 gears so I would think I'd be ok but don't know for sure.

The only thing it really effected was my braking, but with the Hawk pads and cobra discs its still stops well, my gas mileage shifted some to but plenty of power, I went from 16/19 to 15/18.5 with the 285s. the power is still great. I have a 4.0 and 4.10s for reference.
