Question Explorer Rims/Tires?

This is probably a dumb question of the "yes, of course it'll work. Quit bugging us" variety, but here goes:

As stated in another thread, I recently had an accident where I broke one of my rims.

I have a $600 repair in the works and am now looking for a set of cheap tires/rims to replace the ones I have (which, I must admit, were a bit grody anyway). There's a guy nearby that's parting out his '97 Explorer and the rims/tires look like they're in good condition and should work (given 10 or so minutes of research on Google).

As I said, I suspect the answer will be "yes, of course it'll work. Quit bugging us," but will the Explorer rims/tires work on a 2001 Ranger 2wd? I mostly want confirmation that I'm not high on crack... :-)

I used to have a set on my truck. They fit perfect. I think the Expo's even run the same size tires as the Ranger. Not sure though. 225/70R15 was the stock size on my truck.

yes they'll work

both my 95 and my 97 explorers have 235/75r15s on em, i believe thats the stock size for 4x4 and awd explorers, rangers are available with more tire sizes than i care to keep track of, but i know those tires will fit a 4x4 or a 2wd with torsion bars, never tried em on a coil sprung 2wd

They'll fit a coil sprung 2wd, but they'll be a lil bigger, and throw off the speedo a bit. Just don't try to fit them on a lowered coil spung ranger!
