Default Snow tire sizes

I have 225/70/15 tires on my 06 2wd Ranger. Finding that size snow is tough. Can I use other sizes, such as 215/75 or 235/70 and will they fit my stock wheels? And is it true that thinner tires are better in snow? Thanks.

Yes, narrower tires are better for snow. Wide tires in a lightweight Ranger would be more likely to sit on top of snow. Narrower tires with less surface area on the tread will dig down better.

You can fir 245/75R15 without any problems or modifications
235/75R15 would also work well
