Default Rim and Tire Size - Lowered Ranger

I have a problem, lol. Whoever had my truck before me bodydropped it and it cant be reversed, he welded it together and all.

I'm about to buy rims off tirerack and its says for a 20" rim to buy a 275/45/20 but that 275 just seems way to big to me... Anyone have these on yours??? The guy before me said he did the lowering to fit 20"s im just worried Ill buy new rims and tires and they won't fit. lol

So my question is, who is running what tires on 20" rims for their 2001 Ford Ranger XLT Supercab 2wd. Thanks.

that tire is huge! Diameter equals: 29.74409inches. Definitlygoing to be to big.

Post pics of your truck, you sure its bodydropped??

I'm going to say you'll want like a 245/35/20 or so

daaaaamn that's sick! You need to make a thread packed full of pics of that thing and it's setup. Is it 4/5'd + a small BD?

Tirerack wants you to "plus-size" aka same diameter as stock, but with a larger wheel. For a 4/5, 26" tire is about max. Alot of the fitment of large diameter wheels is the backspace and offset...it's a pretty tricky area that's best to figure out what fits locally, then order online or just order locally. Your current tires are probably 24" tall...maybe even smaller!

As said above, maybe check out Rangerpowersports.com.
