This get DD'd all winter and there are plenty of people up here who run these on there street vehicles because they are one of the best snow/ice tires available.
They handle themselves very well on rocks thanks to the siping. Same goes for snow/ice and honestly mud. I didn't get any pics, but they definitely move around in mud just fine. Just because its not a super popular tire doesn't make it bad. No one was running Cooper S/T's and STT's when I got my set and now its one of the more popular tires on XJ's as far as radials go. They are not something commonly carried at major retailers so no they will never be as popular as a KM2 just like the KM2 will never be as popular as a BFG A/T does that make the A/T a better tire in anyway? Hell no, but they are sold more because they appeal to a broader audience.
Pic with my TSL Bias's and the MT's

Re: which super swampers?
I would buy Super Swampers over KM2s if I didnt have a Daily Driver. Best one for mud is of course the bogger but the road manners are HORRIBLE and last maybe 4-5K on the road before being bald.
Super Swamper TSL/SXs are best for mud trail. I would get those if I were you. Little better road manners and like CDAWALL said...ANY super swamper (other than thier TSL Radial) will eat a KM2...Hands down.

Shit like that happens all the time. Luck, driver skill and vehicle matter more than tires. I have driven through things on street tires that larger TSL's got stuck in. That is one instance that proves nothing. TSL's are a better mud tire without a doubt there are no if ands or buts. They are also a better rock tire. KM2's are a better street tire. There is a reason you see most rock crawlers and mudders using different tires.

Re: which super swampers?
If you wheel like you say, (twice a,week) you will be much happier with the tsls. On a, side note, I just got 35 MTRs with kevlar and they are a great all around MT so far.

One of the guys I wheel with weekend warriors his on rocks and they grip as good as any MT. If you are wanting a pure mud tire a bias bogger is about as good as it gets. They will wear quick as hell though. Balance wise you could get a radial set of TSL's but you loose a lot if the heavy sidelug that makes it a better mud tire going to radials.
here they all are side by side
the bias tires have a lot more bite to them. In all honesty I don't think the radial TSL is worth it over the TRXUS MT you gain way to much in all around performance for the slight loss in mud. I personally wheel on a set of bias 33x12.50R15 TSL's and they get the hell beat out of them, they don't last for shit.

do you or anyone know how much mileage i should expect out of the trxus mt? i considered them a little while ago but couldnt find anyone that had them or knew anything about them

Your comment doesn't even all make sense together they suck for mud but they are good for mud/offroad trucks only? Ever run a set yourself?

damn straight bro trxus mt is the best and has better manners than a km2. i just never had the cash to buy them lol

Re: which super swampers?
Any Superswamper tire is gonna be hard to come by since the company that was making them went bankrupt and had to shut down.

And your point? Oh snap he would have to buy a tire designed as a street worthy mud terrain from one of the most well known off road tire companies without 10 million yokals who think BFG is the only tire brand and have written 10 million reviews on mediocre tires because they were better than stock street treads.

Re: which super swampers?
Go with the Trxus MT, As long as you keep up on rotations they will do very well on wear. Back when I was on 33's, I had xterrains and my buddy had 33" Trxus MT's, his rig would walk me in just about any bit of wet or muddy situation. They were leaps and bounds ahead of my xterrains in every situation including the road.
