i think you'd need a body lift so it wouldnt rub.

you can do 31's no problem

I know my truck will fit them with just a T-bar crank so your truck should clear them no problem

32x11.5s or 265/75s will fit about perfect, if you do the pre key mod and 2.5in blocks you can get 285/75s under the truck.

Just to let people know I put a set of 265/75/16's on my 2009 ford ranger sport 4x4 and they rubbed severely at full lock untill I cranked my torssion bars.

But they look nice!

I did a slight t-bar crank on my 08 before having my 265/75/16's installed and haven't had any issues with them

He should only need to raise the front about half an inch to be level with the older trucks that came bone stock with those tires.

Those are 265/75R16's on my stock uncranked 2005 edge. Stock tire size is a 265/75 according to my window sticker. I would personally get the tires and see how high you need to go to clear them. They will clear with about .5" of lift, but will likely look better with 1-1.5"

You will rub badly. With pre key mod and shackles or factory rear 2.5" blocks and you will clear.

Here is my 2010 Sport 4x4 with number 1 bars maxed, 08+keys, stock 1" rear blocks with 32x11.50R15 BFG km2's. I rubbed badly. Body lifted it 3 days after this photo.

265/75R16's stock?! Fx4 LII only had 31x10.50R15's. According to every source I've looked at, 265/75R16's have never been a factory option from Ford for the Ranger. Plus you are comparing your '05 ride height to a 2" lower 08+ model Ranger. Maxed bars on my '10 was still 1/2" short of a stock '98-'07.

Pic of window sticker? I hope you are right. If so that's badass! The largest 16" tire they normally put on them was 255/70R16's and largest 15" was the 31x10.50R15 BFG At/ko's
