you are confusing two different things, offset and backspacing.

Generally, you'll need a wheel spacer to clear your hub. That goes for the most commonly used stang wheels on 98+ rangers.

My brother ran a 7/16" spacer and longer studs and no cap on the wheel. Then he shaned the hub hole on the wheel and now runs no spacers. Wheel is a '01 Cobra wheel I believe.

05+ stang wheels have some pretty sucked in offset. Bigger spacer required.

Backspace and offset is essentially two different ways to say the same thing. Assuming you know the width of the wheel, if you know one of the two measurements you can calculate the other.

For example, an 8" wide wheel with a backspace of 3.75" is going to have an offset of -19mm, regardless of wheel diameter, style, or manufacturer.

A wheel with a negative offset means more of the wheel will sit to the outside of the center line, and obviously the opposite is true for positive offset.

sorry i was confused my self. but i like the info you gave me and plan to check out the rims to day in person. and maybe even test fit them! thay are replicas of the mustang bullitt wheels in white with a outer chrome beauty ring. and i get all four for 390 + tax and balancing dude said he was losing his lease and had to get rid of the stock his new shop is way smaller. he even offered me a tire changing machine for $3000
