Hi FRF, I'm looking into getting new rims and tires for my 2003 3.0 2wd super cab tremor (4.10 gearing) Ranger. Now I know that the 3.0 power plant isn't the most robust engine (spare the 3.slow) but, I was planning on installing some nice BFG A/T 33's. The rim I'm considering getting comes in 17",18" and 20" all of which are 9" wide. The majority of my driving will be on the road with occasional light wheeling. Please let me know if the rim size will make a diff in the performance of my truck, also if there is a better tire for my application. I would like to get the 20's if the difference is negligible. the weight will make a huge difference, hell steelies vs stock rims make a difference (i wouldnt know tho) but you can stilll move 33's pretty good....you will be slow off the line and it will take more rpms to get you up those hills

they are great, i bought mine and 20 mins later i was already offroadiing with them ( i didnt have a choice but not the point lol) they did great!!

correction: slower off the line ..not slow lol with my 31s i still consider myself to be pretty fast off the line lol 33s are different tho
