Default From 15 inch to 17 inch question

My truck is only a couple of weeks old and still smells like new (gotta love that). I would like to install the DIP D10 17inch chrome wheels with perhaps Fortera Triple Tread tires that will stand just a bit taller than the stock 15inch 235/75/R15 does.

Those would will allow me to keep them on year round as they are good in snow or dry pavement. I don't plan on going off road on purpose. Does anyone know if they should fit? If not, any suggestions that you guys know what would work?

Stephen

as long as the backspacing is correct, they'll fit with no issues.

Thank you for the answer.

Even with the tire charts I am pretty much lost, so here goes once again. What if I keep my 15 inch stock rims and just change the stock tires from 235/75/R15 Wrangler SR-A to 265/75/R15 Wrangler Silent Armour? Would they fit withut rubbing or lifting and would they make the truck look much different? Would I run into computer and tire sensor problems?

Thanks once again in advance for whoever takes pity on me and answers!

Stephen

PS: Sorry for all the noob questions.

Tires can be confusing ,yes?

Anyways, You may rub a little On full lock, but im not sure yours Are you a sport 2wd or a normal 2wd?
i know i went from 225/75/15 to 255/70/16 on my 2wd i only rubbed at full lock, but thats with stock rims from a 4x4 ranger

As for computer sensors and the tpms, no, tpms only really lets yo know when the tire is flat on most vehicles, its not like my sisters caddy where it tells you the psi of each tire.

it will just affect your speedo a bit

I went to 18s and a noticeably wider tire that is now flush with the fender flare. No difference in turning radius. I could have easily gone further with 20" wheels.

you'll be fine. the sport and 4x4 trucks sit a little higher in ride height than an xlt truck like mine does. you shouldn't rub on the body or at full lock of the steering. but like others said, your speedometer may be off by like 2-3 mph at freeway speeds, but nothing drastic. that will also throw off your odometer slightly, both speedometer and odometer will read slower/less miles than actuality.
