Default Changing rims

I have the stock XL rims on my truck I had gotten a set of stock rims that are nicer (same size). I was going to paint the new rims black before I had tires put on for ease of painting. As I was looking to see how much it would cost to have someone switch the rims they said they can't do it because of the TPMS. Something about the band they can't reuse them or something. Also I told them I don't need TPMS and they said if a veh comes in with it they can't leave with out it. Are they jewing me? They wanted like 75 or a 100 bucks per TPMS band. I'm new at tires and stuff so I just need advice.

Thanks!

See that's why I told them. I'll have to try other places but 2 places told me that. I don't need TPMS I got along with out it before I had my Ranger. Any ways it doesn't warn you till your tire is super low anyways lol.

Yea I just want to paint them and then take them to have the tires transfered but everybody is making a bigger deal out of it than it really is

Yea I'm going to talk to a couple of other places but when I prep the rim is that very hard? Also does it matter if you get a little paint on the inside of the rim like where the tire is?

That would help I think the part that will suck will be the inside of the rim any tips on how to get it in there without running?
