3.0 on 35's with 4:10 gears.....

0-60 might take a year
0-80 is impossible
9 mpg or less
must avoid uphill driving (max 3% grade)
Transmission life cut in half
6" lift? Non existant or redneck 6" body lift? (lol)

When its all said in done, my stock 3.0 2wd Ranger would do better offroad.

I'm not disputing that shady sellers claim to have a 6 inch lift available. Someone else posted a prime example of a kit that is advertised as a 6 inch lift kit for $1000 that contains nothing more than a $300 3" lift kit, unnecessary parts, and a free-to-do torsion adjustment.

You asked for advice, and was given advice. It's not that people truly care what you do to your truck, it is your truck, do whatever makes you happy.

It just upsets some people to see that:

1) You ask for advice then ignore it and instead complain about getting advice.
2) Not many of us can just throw away money, nor understand why someone would knowingly make the decision to just throw away money, so it's frustrating watching you do it.

you think youll be fine without changing gears and a 3.0 and a 4.0 are no different

lets race me 85 ranger with a 4.0 , with 36'' super swampers running 4:88 gears
and i got horrible gas mileage, but amazing torque

If anything I suppose he could get a 4" suspension lift with a 2 " body lift, I would expect if they make the 4 for my truck and year, they should make it for his. But 35s? I'd go with 33s ,Though I don't plan on lifting mine anymore. I plan on getting a newer nicer truck.
