1) There is no such thing as a 6" suspension lift for your truck. What you're probably looking at is a 3" spindle lift & torsion bar crank, or even worse torsion keys. The best you can do is a 3" spindle lift & 3" body lift.

2) You can run 35s but gearing will be critical.

3) There's no need to get all crazy when a different opinion is posted.

my 4.0 has gears in it just to run 33"s you don't even have the option to drop into 4 low on a hill. my buddy also has a 3.0 we hooked chains and i pulled him in 4 low with my truck in 2 hi. my wifes crappalier makes more power than your 3.0L its not called the gutless wonder for nothing.

You're going loose a lot gas mileage and HP but will gain a good portion back with the Superchips Tuner and throttle body spacer, maybe a intake couldn't hurt either. Anyone who lifts a truck can expect not to get as good of gas mileage as stock. I've had my 35's on my truck since Nov last year and run the stock 4:10 gears and have no issues with the tranny. Go for it Bro!!
no it wont be ok it will kill the transmission auto or manual. a throttle body spacer also makes no power difference on these trucks they are not starved for air. same thing with the intake factory cold air on them. again huge difference between 4.0 and 3.0 not to mention ford 8.8" vs ford 7.5"

i guess if you want a mall crawler you will be just fine just dont come back here bitching that your trans and rear end shit a brick. not to mention going on an on ramp you get passed by a yugo.

enjoy rebuilding your transmission or doing a clutch job every 10K since you are not geared to turn that size tire.

Well, for one thing, your going to be revving alot higher with the 35s if you dont change the gears, and you will put alot of unwanted stress on your engine. One reason everyone on here runs 33's

Also, tom is right in the fact that they dont make 6 in lift for rangers, Link plz?

Changing the gears will be your best bet on this as well, be better in the long run and get better economy.

And btw, i want pics of the rims u have, then ill tell you if your truck will look badass or not.

wrong direction there he will be revving lower with taller tires. thats why the trans will go its like putting a heavy load on the motor at low RPM.

I mean revving higher in the terms to get up to speed, not as in cruising.
I know with 3.73s and just a set of tires off a 06 4x4 sport, i need to rev high sometimes otherwise when i shift i lag like a mofo.

another epic thread on FRF, ok man, i wanna see how fast you can get off the line with your 35s ungeared. you need at least a 4.56 ratio. but its gonna be funny when you:

1) didnt buy the right lift cause it doesnt exist

2) facepalm yourself so hard youre gonna be bleeding cause everyone who said youre wrong, was right all along. good luck.
