I think you should do it. And post pics.
As far as parts, a set of DRW rear wheels and a healthy fender flare in the rear would do the trick, visually. As far as the getting it moving part, 4.10s would make up for a lot of the extra drag and weight. Get some coil spacers or whatever it is that the 2wd guys use to lift the nose and put either an AAL or longer/taller leaves in the rear and put some chunky tires on it to complete the look.
There is a DRW F350 next to my father-in-law's house that is running KM2s and it looks amazing.

I usually stay out of these threads bc i get yelled at for telling people they're stupid..

I just couldn't bite my tongue any longer....

Just bc you have helper springs doesn't mean you can double the weight of your payload, your frame isn't meant for it. Secondly, your rear axle, hubs and bearings aren't built for that kind of payload. You'll toast your brakes by more than doubling the weight per side of the axle, not to mention the fact that everyone in town will point and laugh when you drive by.

Take my advice, dont take my advice.. I dont care. If you want to haul more, get a bigger truck.

I like the idea. But keep in mind that you'll be adding about 100 lbs of undamped weight to the rear of a 3000 lb truck. It would be very unpleasant/dangerous to drive unloaded without serious modification to your suspension. And like Chuck points out there will be No increase in payload since your tire rating is NOT the bottleneck. Ultimately it is the way your frame is constructed.

The only practical advantage to doing this would be increased traction. Which is probably why I like the idea. But that could be gained through getting really good tires.

What Drew said.
If you want the look go for it, but do it right. Also, if you want more traction, a really wide set of tires will do the trick, sans the weight of the extra wheels.

my computer did something really weird. it copied what i did about ten times.. but i erased the other 8 haha...

i think i'll just buy a duelly truck someday..

i'll just focus on putting in a 5.0 or a diesel..

Well, a dually rear axle will be 8 bolt remember, so you'll need wheel adapters up front

gotta say dually on a ford 8.8 is stupid. overloading a 4.0L ranger with add a leafs is stupid, spending a shit ton of money and not just getting a fullsize that could do it better cheaper and safer is stupid.

to make this thing safe to handle of 1 ton in the bed...box the frame all the way back. swap to an axle rated for it (ranger axle rated for 2750lbs) need brakes to stop it, need load rated tires to go with it as well.

dont forget your transmission is not designed to haul that much nor are your 3.55 gears. you are going to smoke the transmission overloading that thing. oh and dont forget to open your door. there is a sticker that lists your GVWR that is what you can legally carry in your truck according to manuf. get pulled over by DOT with your truck overloaded. that shit aint no joke you will get a hell of a ticket.
