Yeah this is very odd, so does a 3.08 gear ratio have the limited slip feature? Because I have limited-slip. Can Tell Very Much So In the Winter.

The only way you will know for sure is to open your diff, if someone changed your gears out then the diff tag will not help you.

I'll go check out the plate real quick, is there a way that I'd be able to figure out what gears I have in my rear axle when I have someone drain the rear differental?

It just means you have 8.8" diff with 3.08 gears. the rest I have no idea.

you have a 8.8 housing with 3.08 gears. All you need to know is that you need to change your gears out.

So If I have limited Slip that means I'd have to have one of the following gears in my rear axle: R5, R6, R7, R8?

Here's the link I found the R5, R6, R7, R8 info at: http://www.therangerstation.com/tech_library/Axles.html

How did they add the L/S to my 3.08 Gears? I'm curious.

I'm assuming I have L/S because when I give it gas, there's only 1 tire mark on the pavement, and another time I got stuck in the mud, and the tire on the right side wasn't burying itself down in the mud like the left tire was.

that is NOT limited slip. that is open diff

limited slip makes sure that both wheels turn when one is losiing traction

----------

with limited slip u shoul dhave 2 tire marks lol open diff transfer the power to the tire that has no traction rendering u almost stuck haha
