alright but ive heard cranking the torsion bars can cause a lot of trouble and make stuff on the front end go bad quicker

Just curious as to what "expensive" is, cause I heard my lift for my 02 FX4 is expensive and I just want to compare

a suspension lift for a 98+ 4x4 will run you about 1600+ for the kit now a body lift which majority of guys on here have is only 200 but just does that lift the body so you can run 33s oh and the suspension lift youll need a new front drive shaft and thats about 400

any ford rangers newer than 98 will at least run you a 1000 for a good suspension lift kits but you can find the body lifts all day for around 200
