hey guys, i might be selling my ranger and getting an f150(always staying with ford!), but im not positive yet, its stock(btw). i was wondering what gas mileage you guys are getting with 33 inch tires. i saw that an f150 can get around 14-17 MPG with 33 inch tires. to me, if they are somewhat similar, its worth getting the bigger truck and putting my money into that instead. thanks alot

You are going to get the same if not maybe even alittle better with the F150 over the ranger, especially if its a newer F150. As we all know, even the 4.0 isn't great by any means especially a lifted 4x4. When my truck is in good running shape and oil change, etc I average about 18. Right now my drivers side cat is bad so im down to about 14/15 with 33's. If I had it to do over again I probably would have got an F150.

Its not that the ranger is bad or nothing, its just that they both have their own place. I do love the smaller size of the ranger, I got a good deal on it, fits well in the woods, manuvering around, parking, and alittle cheaper to maintain and fix, etc. But id rather have the bigger size/room and towing of the F150. Perfect world id just rather have the ranger and an F250 ha.

Really it just depends on your needs and what your going to be using it for, if your trucks paid off or not, is it worth getting another payment or spending more money, etc.
