Default Tires

I am looking to run 2 sets of tires on my truck, and was wondering what is a good tire for off roading and the winter. Also whats a good tire for the highway and off roading.

I run my BFG A/Ts all around. Use them on road, off road and in the snow. Someone makes an equivalent of it for cheaper...can't remember who it was, there is a thread on here though about them.

Unless one of the sets is going to be a mud tire, you could get by with one good set of AT's.

Yeah they're the General Grabber AT2s. im getting those when my current BFGs go, i just cant justify spending $175 a tire. I have heard nothing but good stuff about the General Grabbers; they say that they are just as good if not better than the BFGs. the only thing that the BFGs have an advantage on is their 3-ply wall thcikness, and i dont offraod enough to worry myself about it. id rather pay the $134 dollars a tire thank you...

I have BFG A/T's. They are a pretty good tire all around. Not great in mud, but they do alright. they do fairly well in the snow too.

I like Nokian Vatiiva A/T, they are listed as a summer tire, but are outstanding year round, in all weather.
I got 65000 out of the first set and it looks like this set will get about that also.
Downside, bring $$$, a set of 4 where I live, mounted and balanced, $700+.

Nokian Vatiiva M/T. They are made in Finland which is mostly snow and ice all year. They outperform the BFG A/T in all departments. They might be a little bit louder though. I just put them on my truck and they cut my stopping distance almost in half on dry and wet pavement and they ride alot smoother.

Do they make them in large sizes? Like 35x12.50R15? What's the tread life of them?
