its a bad idea, but if your going to do it, you need probably 1.5 inch ones or so, smaller ones and you have problems clearing the lugs.

I've had 2" spacers on my truck since december and I have had no problems whatsoever. If you do decide to get them you need to make sure to check the lug nuts on them every so often in the beginning to make sure they don't loosen any.

NO

NO NO NO NO NO NO

I ran wheel spacers, checked the torque EVERY time driving (wasn't a daily driver), and had a 37" tire/wheel fly off, hit someones car, and total it.

Took the manufacturer to court, they paid out for both my damage and the VW that got t-boned by my tire.

never, ever ever ever ever again.

honestly there is a huge difference between stock tires and a 37, but it isnt a good idea. im running them on mine due to clearence issues, but i dont like it, and will be doing a SAS asap to get rid of them.

I too run them because of clearance issues, if it weren't for that I wouldn't be using them, some have no issues with them and others have horror stories like the one posted above.

Yes 37's are a big tire
But not on a fully built Dana 44 front end

None the less. some people have stories like mine, some people swear they have never had problems ever, and I believe them lol.

I think of it this way, for the $200 you'd spend on wheel spacers, wheels are pretty cheap. I've never paid more than $60 for a wheel brand new ever.

I ran 2" spacers and had no problems. as long as you fasten them to become "part" of the hub you will be fine. I used Red locktite on the lugs and really cranked them on. With a 235 tire on a factory rim, they put the outter tread of a BFG all terrain even with the fender flare. Looked good imo

i so agree. this is just a bad idea. if you had any idea the torque and forces it puts on wheel bearings and races when adding spacers or large wheel offsets. unless your willing to swap out the spindles, bearings and races with extreme duty ones. its just not a good idea, if you do, keep it moderate.
