I never heard of them. Just be careful, I hear pits have been known to attack their owners and children

They are epic tires off road, but the problem with them is wear. But for off road, they are up there with swampers.

I've heard pretty much the same thing about pitbull tires, great offroad tires, horrible onroad tendencies. Although the growler appears to be marketed as an extremely aggressive all terrain (looks more like a mud terrain to me).

Did a quick google search and came across this:

http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f15/p...rowler-515369/

Has two interesting points:
1) Pitbull Growlers are bias ply
2) User posted that pitbull rep told him that users get 20-25K miles out of them.

They make bias ply and radial in all their tires I believe, but that could have changed. But that mileage sounds about right.

You're absolutely right. I googled pitbull growler and came across this link which said they are bias ply:
http://www.pitbulltires.com/growler.php

The OP posted this link which shows them as being radial: http://www.pitbulltires.com/growler_radials.php

So yeah, looks like there is an option in that regards. Radial tire sizes are awfully small though:

Quote:
Available Radial Sizes:

31x1050R15LT/C
LT245/75R16/E
LT245/70R17/E
So if the OP is looking at 33x12.50 pitbull growlers they would have to be the bias ply (assuming their website is accurate).
