Default 93 Ranger stock suspension 20s rubbing tie rod slightly

I have a 93 ranger and I bought american racing rims with goodyear eagle 245/45/R20 tires and i put them on the front and when i turn the wheel to the left all the way the right tire hits the tie rod. can i get any input on this, I need to pick some brains.. Thanks Guys

why the hell do you have 20s on? are you lifting or dropping?

im plan on dropping it. its a 2 wheel drive so there's no point in lifting it. :/

Dude, get some 18s for it. It will look SOOO much cleaner on a small truck. Trust me.

I like the look of the 20's I have on there now. So I pretty much plan on keeping the 20's

are you sure its the tie rod thats rubbing? it could be its rubbing the back of the tire on the control arms, either way you need to get the offset further out.

then ur screwed unless u get coil spacers but ur not lifting so ur screwed

hmm...didnt think about offset...u could get wheel spacers but i dont recommend them

I dont think the ranger even turns tight enough for the tire/rim to grab the tie-rod. Unless you got some rims that have some major backspacing issues, like car rims. Maybe you could try turning out the knuckle stops so that you can only turn so far.

Post a pic of the wheel at full turn, take a pic of the front and back. Tie-rod, and control arm sides

i am 98% sure that it is the tie rod posting the pictures now. I had to change the wheels back to the stocks for now because i have work in the morning and i sorta rely on my truck being a delivery driver. 221280_10150172098838945_652963944_6579205_3140973_o.jpg

That would be the sway bar its rubbing on. About the only way to fix it without wheels with less backspacing is a spacer

autozone sells 1/4 inch spacers and u can still use stock lugs
