Re: Wheel backspacing?
Well you are pretty much making the stance a little wider (not much), so i thought maybe it would effect the gas milage some i know a wider tire will definitely

Re: Wheel backspacing?
Yea i only have once and i didnt really care about gas milage with that so i never noticed. But since i bought this ranger for gas milage i wanna but some black wheels on it and noticed it was a -27 offset and it kinda got me thinkin if it would hurt the mpgs or not. My thought would be not much if at all but i figured i would ask and see if anyone knew for sure.

Re: Wheel backspacing?
maybe a slight change in wind resistance which would create more drag from losing aerodynamic efficiencies but i doubt you would notice it... although getting wheels with less back spacing can shorten wheel bearings live's and a bad wheel bearing can decrease gas mileage...

Re: Wheel backspacing?
I think the backspacing for the wheels i was looking at was -27, so about an inch. If i would keep the stock tire size i wouldnt think it would be too much stress on the wheel bearings compared to putting on oversized tires. Maybe?
